The Athlon Midas M5 magnifier is designed for situations requiring a quick transition between no magnification for close-range speed and magnification for precision shooting. This 5-power magnifier mounts behind a traditional red dot sight to provide magnification when needed. Its mount allows it to swing out of the way when not in use, yet can quickly be placed behind the red dot for increased magnification during mid-range shots.

This magnifier is a well-made product for the price. I ran it first with a large MOA red-dot. That was a mistake. After running it with a smaller diameter red dot I was satisfied enough to keep it on the rifle. Anybody can mount it and if need be, adjust the quick attach/detach lever. Its light and pairs well behind high quality red dots. The product itself is great for the money. If I were to advise someone who is interested in a magnifier, I would tell you to make sure you use a high quality, small reticle, red dot sight to pair it with. It looks cool behind any 1x optic but in order to be practical you need to consider the set up.
